Fall-Winter and Thanksgiving Pies!!!

If you missed me this summer, please come check me out at the winter's market this fall at the greenhouse at Mainescape in Blue Hill on Saturdays starting October 18th 9:30-12.  Lots of great venders, and a great way to spend a Saturday morning, the winter's market goes until Mid-May.  Ill be serving up tasty made to order breakfast sandwiches and baked goods out of the food wagon.

Thinking Thanksgiving already?  I know I am!  Get your orders in anytime before November 20th for Pies.  Pick up will be the day before Thanksgiving in Sedgwick.  Pies are also available unbaked and frozen if you want to take some credit for the pies and have them fresh and warm on the morning of.

It's beeen a great season, and will continue this winter!

It has been a great season for the Sarahndipity Food Wagon.  I was located at the Blue Hill Farmer's Market every Saturday, and in front of 44N Coffee in Deer Isle on Thursdays for the months of July and August.  I also baked for a bunch of weddings, come to find out Pie is a hip thing this year, YAY!

Breakfast Sandwiches were a hit at both locations, I used fresh local bread by Daily Bread, Local Sausage by White's Farm, and all the local veggies I could get my hands on: Horsepower Farm, King Hill Farm, Morgan Bay Farm, and Blue-Zee farm forming a majority of them. And a big thanks to Nervous Nellies Jams and Jellies for making my sandwiches rock with their chutney.

Menu for First Farmer's Market on May 24th

Menu for May 24th, 9-11:30 Blue Hill Farmer's Market

Served on Tinder Hearth Bread or Daily Bread English Muffins, Local Produce and Meats when available, Local Eggs

Classic: Egg, Cheese 5.25
The Green Smash: Avocado, Cheddar or Swiss, Egg 5.75

It's finally happening---The Food Truck (more a wagon) will be set up and ready to go in time for the first Blue Hill Farmer's Market on May 24th.  We will be at the Market (fairgrounds in Blue Hill) every Saturday from 9-11:30.  Then starting on May 30th and every Friday following that we will be set up at Mainescape in Blue Hill from 8am-1pm!

At the Saturday Markets you can expect: Breakfast Sandwiches/Wraps using Local Bread, Eggs, Cheeses, Veggies.  PIE!  Hand Pies! Quiche! and Bucklyn Coffee!

At Mainescape on Fridays you can expect: Breakfast Sandwiches/Wraps using Local Bread, Eggs, Cheeses, Veggies, Meats.  HAND PIES! Quiche! LUNCH SANDWICH SPECIALS! and Iced Bucklyn Coffee!

We hope to add in Thursdays as an additional day at Mainescape if all goes well for the first few weeks.  So stay tuned for that.

You are still welcome to order Pies/Quiches etc from me----just give me a heads up of 2 days if Possible.  Also available for Sunday-Thursday catering events on the Peninsula!  Book now for your Wedding Brunch or Party!   207-832-1158

Winter Menu and Maine Magazine!

Sarahndipity has a shout out in this month's Maine Magazine Wedding edition!  I made this cake for my good friends Matt and Amilie Blackman in September.  It was a lot of work and a lot of fun!  I am able to do a few Wedding cakes this summer with advance notice.  I don't do elaborate cakes, more rustic cakes using local flowers and foliage!  Link to Maine Mag pic

Winter Menu
(a Limited Menu as I am currently trying to learn how to be a new mom!)

Best Chocolate Cake (moist dark chocolate cake with Chocolate Ganache, Chocolate Butter-cream, or Caramel Frosting) $16 for one Layer, $32 for two
Pear Upside down cake with Chai Spices (Caramelized Pears in Brown Sugar with hints of cardamom, cinn, cloves, and nutmeg!) $15 for one layer
Molasses Cake (moist gingery molasses cake with homemade whipped cream with a hint of lemon)

Winter Closing

Just wanted to let everyone know that Sarahndipity Pies and Baked Goods will be closed from November 18th-Mid to late December---in anticipation of the arrival of a new baby boy (that we hope is coming very soon).  Please check back in Mid-December as I will be doing some Christmas goodies on a small scale. 
Thank you for all your support this year!  We are looking forward to getting the food truck going in Late May.

News for the Spring/Summer!

Happy Spring!

Sarahndipity has been busy making plans for the summer, on how I can get more products to you in more convenient locations!

First off:  I was able to raise $ for a Food Trailer/Truck via Kickstarter just a few weeks ago.  Thanks to the generous support of my community, friends, family, and kindness of strangers.  The trailer arrived yesterday and over the next two months we will put some work into it to make it look awesome, and add in a mini stove and some more refrigeration.  Hoping to get it on the road by July 4th--- more on this later as I figure out where and when i will be parked in different parts of the peninsula.  Look for breakfast sandwiches/treats, Lunch specials, baked goods, seafood and more!

Secondly: You can find me at the following places this summer, while the food truck is being worked on:
Blue Hill Farmers Market (Saturdays 9-11:30) starting on May 25th
Castine Farmers Market (Thursdays 9-11:30) starting on June 13th

MORNING MOON in Brooklin:

I will still be taking call ahead orders this summer, if you are unable to join me at the markets or at the Moon.  Please allow 24-48 hours please.  We are closed on Sundays/Mondays unless you contact me in advance for a special order.
